Emulsifiers represent one of the most fundamental ingredients for skin care products. They define not only the stability of cosmetic formulations but contribute also to their sensorial profile and overall perception.
Ideally, an emulsifier should both enable stable emulsions with a great skin feel and moisturize and protect the skin. In application tests we demonstrated that especially hydrogenated phospholipids are exceptionally capable of stabilizing o/w emulsions in cosmetic formulations. Additionally, the use of only small amounts results in a significant improvement of the skin feel.
Hydrogenated phospholipids fulfill all requirements of a perfect emulsifier, including excellent performance and skin-friendly properties. Moreover, they ensure an enhanced skin feel of the product.
LIPOID P 75-3 and PHOSPHOLIPON® 80 H are based on hydrogenated phospholipids from soybean. Hydrogenated phospholipids are gentle but powerful emulsifiers that provide a unique skin feel as added value.
