Thanks to our long-standing expertise with a variety of plant extracts and actives, we are firmly convinced that valuable cosmetic effects are mainly the result of the combined action of multiple plant substances. We, thus, provide “full-spectrum extracts” aiming to concentrate all solvent-soluble molecules rather than merely concentrating a few particular metabolites. Our extraction processes respect the importance of phytochemical diversity and are designed to maintain the phytochemical composition in all its variety.

Mild and Environment-Friendly Manufacturing Process

In keeping with modern trends, our extraction technology builds on a unique combination of cold maceration and percolation processes that are energy-efficient and environment-friendly. Extraction takes place at room temperature to guarantee as gentle as possible processing of the raw materials, maintaining value-giving constituents without accumulating undesired by-products such as coloring. This offers stable extracts, optimally balanced for extraction yield and formulation acceptance. Our extracts are as concentrated as naturally possible since we use a very high drug to solvent ratio. As a result, 1 kg of extract roughly contains as many valuable ingredients as 1 kg of fresh plant material.

Our manufacturing procedures are controlled under cosmetic GMP regulation ISO 22716. Tight raw material specifications and an electronically controlled extraction system allow us to produce consistent extracts with very low batch-to-batch variation.

Dried Edelweiss herb contains a plethora of valuable metabolites as illustrated by high-performance thin-layer chromatography (HPTLC) analysis.

State-of-the-Art Solvent and Carrier Systems

We give great importance to the naturalness and sustainability of our auxiliary materials. Our solvent glycerin, for example, is derived from vegetables cultivated in Europe. It is of 100 % natural origin, 100 % non-GMO, 100 % palm-free and meets the highest Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) expectations. In addition, we offer glycerin in organic quality.

In addition to our liquid extracts, we offer dry extracts, which are embedded in a matrix of 100 % plant-derived, non-GMO maltodextrin.
